Ham and Pimento Olive Sammich
My newest favorite sammich. I don’t know if samich is spelled with one m or two, but it looks better with two. Both are now accepted in my dictionary in the computer.
Are you ready?
Two slices of your favorite rye bread including pumpernickel.
Two or more slices of sammich ham. I’m using slices of Costco sammich ham.
Some Tostidos brand cheese spread at whatever heat rating you like. I use medium (gringo)
6 to 12 chopped pimento stuffed olives roughly chopped. I used 9 today.
Miracle Whip.
You can make variations like toasting the bread etc.
So spread a thin layer of Miracle Whip on both slices.
Then the amount of cheese spread on one slice as thick as you can handle without making it drip I suppose.
Add the ham in whatever artful fashion you desire.
Add the chopped olives to the cheese spread side of the bread.
Slice the bread on the bias. Place it on the plate with your favorite chips or cold salad like my macaroni salad.
Take your noon medications.
Then enjoy! rdd

Our National Anthem and Salute to Our Country
I have watched hundreds of interviews, both for and against the standing for our national anthem and the civilian salute to our flag.
I watch people stumbling around with their answers ‘for’ and ‘against’ during interviews.
So, here is my ‘no stumble’ opinion about our national anthem at sporting events.
And tradition has it, while “We the People” are all gathered here, we choose to share, and show our conviction and solidarity to OUR Constitution and great country, and salute the men and women who have spent their lives for this gathering at this moment.
WE STAND TOGETHER!!!!!
This is not the moment for any other kind of opinion or rally.(period)
You either stand with us or you are against us.
This is a ‘no choice’ situation.
If your owners insist on paying you to perform, then you can stay in the locker room out of our sight during OUR pledge.
You may stay out on the field and stand as a guest, ….. with a proper attitude, and your hands not signing, showing respect to us, and the country that is allowing you to perform. If you can’t show us respect….. stay in the locker room!
The Pledge of Allegiance or the singing of our National Anthem is not the place for you. Ronald D. Drobeck

Keeeerrrrrrrr Flushhhhhhhh – The Tucson Monsoon fun
A wonderful down pour.
We should have had enough now to start filling the water table back up. We were ahead by 3/8 of an inch yesterday locally. We here in Tucson ‘DO’ understand what it means to us. The great flushing and filling again. Kerrrrrr flushhhhhhh.
Before the monsoon, I had cleaned every down spout around the house.
Unfortunately, the winds that come with this rain blew leaves and debris into the troughs which then plugged them up again.
I was prepared, put on my rainproof jacket and bare legged, proceeded to undo screws at the elbows to release the clogs in the warm rain…. grinning all the way.
I’ve been doing this for over 25 years. I clean ’em, they get plugged and I let the rain be the flusher. LOL
Nothing inside the house….. all outside stuff.
I’ve tried all of the screens and covers but they just get plugged up too so…… it’s me….. maintenance man…. out there, fighting mother nature.
Why do I get the feeling that she’s doing this on purpose and loves to see me grin??????
Ha! Thanks!!!! That was fun, got me off of my butt, and I won again …………… for now. Life is a great adventure.

Minions and Libions
My family’s left me home alone again, while they go on vacation in the North.
I had no idea. It’s been a year since the last one.
Two days in a row relaxed!!!!!!!
I just woke up from a corked grape juice induced nap.
Two days in a row, the dogs haven’t startled me awake.
Ahhhhhhhhh!
So, relaxed I can’t even change the channel and anyway something I wanted to see is just coming on.
“Minions”!
I wouldn’t normally change the channel to see it, but ………. it’s right there coming on! So……………
You know, I’ve been seeing Minions around for some time now but didn’t know where they came from!
I wouldn’t ask.
I was just going to accept their existence like I accept the existence of Libions!
Ha!
I’ve been expanded. See what happens when you leave me alone?
