About Ronald D. Drobeck

I've read, learned, been discriminated against, patronized, lied to, laughed at, laughed with, and ignored. I'm not a minority, not tall, not good looking, not skinny, not hairy, and can see 10 miles, but not two feet. I've been a paperboy, college student, licensed nursing home administrator, professional musician (swing drummer), duck and goose hunter, fisherman, conservationist, Eagle scout, camp counselor, canoeing instructor, lifeguard, comedian, restaurant owner, licensed exterminator, insurance agent, warehouse manager, carpenter, conservative, father of 4, baseball coach, husband, worrier, writer, embryo gardener, and nice guy.

  1. Just checked and found your website. I had just heard Jerry Berens was put into the South Dakota country hall of fame at the Huron State Fair. Write-up was in the Milbank paper. What a great honor for Jerry. Sad as he had passed away afew yrs. ago. He was a very good friend of ours In Milbank, So. Dak. He owned the Korner Inn bar and my dad and i played there at times and Jerry would join us even when he could get a person to take over the bartending for him. I even have a VHS of him and my dad playing in Colorado at a sister’s home. He and dad had a jam season. In fact his wife Gloria even put on a wedding shower for me. I did get to visit with him afew yrs. before he passed away at his bar abd grill in Corona, So, Dak. So he and our families go way back. My sister has Jerry’s LP of A MN. Woman and Jerry signed it.
